The Venngage Editor is designed to give you full control over your creative process. It includes three main toolbars that help you design, edit, and manage your projects efficiently:
These toolbars let you edit and customize your design’s elements—such as text, icons, and shapes—as well as adjust the canvas size, orientation, and layout. You can also access key options to share, download, or publish your final design.
Let’s explore each one in more detail, starting with the Top Toolbar.
Top Toolbar: Functionality and Features
The Top Toolbar helps you refine your design and manage the overall layout. You can align elements, group objects, lock positions, and more—all from one place.
Here’s what you can do:
Alignment
Open the Alignment menu to arrange text, objects, and other elements neatly on your canvas.
Use Smart Guides, Auto-Align, and Grid View to keep your layout balanced and visually appealing.
Undo and Redo
Quickly reverse or repeat your last action using the Undo and Redo icons.
Click the Back arrow to undo or the Forward arrow to redo an action.
You can use the keyboard shortcuts in the table below to the same effect:
OS/Device |

⌘ (Command) + Z |
Ctrl + Z |
Redo |
⌘ (Command) + Y |
Ctrl + Y |
Group and Ungroup Objects
Group multiple elements together so they move as one.
Perfect for designs with layered or aligned components—icons, text boxes, and shapes. To ungroup, simply select the grouped elements and click the Group icon again.
Delete
Remove unwanted elements quickly.
Click the trash can icon on the toolbar or press the Delete key on your keyboard to remove selected elements.
Lock an Element in Place
Prevent accidental edits by locking key elements.
Lock images, text, or shapes to fix them in position on your canvas while you continue editing other areas.
Layer Elements
Adjust the stacking order of elements for visual depth.
Use the forward and backward arrows to layer objects and create a more dynamic layout.
Modify the Design File Title
Click the title field at the top to rename your design file directly.
This helps you stay organized—especially when managing multiple projects.
Autosave (Last Saved Timestamp)
No need to worry about losing progress.
Your work is automatically saved in the background as you design. You’ll see the last saved timestamp displayed beside the file title.
Preview, Download, and Share
Find these options at the top right of the toolbar.
Use them to preview your design, download it in various formats, or share it directly with others.
