Remove Background automatically removes the background from an image so you can create clean, professional visuals in your design.

Important Note: This feature is available only on paid plans (Premium, Business, Education, and Enterprise) and now uses Venngage’s universal AI credit system.
 

How to remove a background (step-by-step)

1. Open your design and select the image on the canvas.

2. Click Edit Image from the top toolbar, or select the image, then click the Edit Image icon.

   

3. Click Background Remover in the left panel.

   

4. Wait while the background is processed. This usually takes a few seconds.

5. The image on your canvas will update with the background removed.

6. Refine the result as needed using the editor image tools (crop, resize, replace, or other image controls).

7. To undo background removal, click the Undo button or select Return to Original from the top-left panel.

   

⭐ Tip: High-contrast images (clear subject vs background) produce the best results.
