Add an extra layer of security to your shared designs by requiring recipients to enter a password before they can access a private link.

Availability

Password protection is available only for Business plans.

Add a Password to a Private Link

1. Open the design you want to share.

2. Click Share in the upper-right corner of the editor.
    

   

3. Under the Share tab, select Private link.

   

4. Turn on Require Password.

   

5. Enter your desired password.

   

6. Click anywhere outside the password field to save the changes.

7. Click Copy Link and share the link with your recipients.

   

Share the Password Securely

Recipients will need both the private link and the password to access your design.

Best Practice

For added security, share the password through a separate communication channel (such as email, chat, or text message) instead of including it with the link.

Change or Remove a Password

You can update or remove password protection at any time.

1. Open the design and click Share.
2. Select Private link.
3. To change the password, replace the existing password with a new one.
4. To remove password protection, turn off Require Password.

Note

If you change the password, anyone who already has the link will need the new password to access the design.

When someone opens a password-protected private link, they'll be prompted to enter the password before the design is displayed.

• Can I use a password protection on any plan?

  No. Password protection is available only for Business plans.

• Does password protection change the shared link?

  No. The URL remains the same. Only the password changes.

• What happens if someone enters the wrong password?

  They'll be prompted to try again before they can access the design.

• Can I remove the password later?

  Yes. Simply turn off Require Password in the Share panel and save your changes.

Troubleshooting

• I don't see the password option.
  • Verify that you're sharing using the design's Private link.
  • If the option still isn't available, ensure you're using a plan that supports this feature.
     
• Recipients can't access the design.
  • Confirm they're using the correct password.
  • If you've recently changed the password, send them the updated one.
  • Ensure you're sharing the correct private link.
