Learn how to add and style visual elements like shapes, lines, icons, and photos in your Venngage design using the upgraded Editor. These tools help bring balance, structure, and creativity to your visuals.

Add a Shape or Line

• Click Icons from the left sidebar.

  

• In the Icons panel, click Shapes or Connecting Lines to browse available options.

  

• Use the search bar or scroll through to find what you need.

  

• Click or press Spacebar to add it to your design canvas.

• To replace a shape, select it and use the Shape feature from the top toolbar.

  

Edit a Shape or Line

Shapes: Color, Fill, and Borders

• Select a shape on the canvas.

• Click Color Fill in the top toolbar to adjust the fill percentage (0–100%) or apply gradient colors.

  

• Click Fill Color One or Fill Color Two to open the Color Tool.

  

• Choose a new color using the color picker, Brand Kit, or Project Colors.

  

• Click Border Color to change the outline color.

  

• Click Border Width to adjust thickness using the slider or enter a pixel value (0–20px).

  

• Click Border Style to choose between solid, dashed, or dotted borders.

  

Lines: Color, Weight, Style, Start, and End

• Select a line on the canvas.

• Click Line Color to adjust its color.

  

• Click Line Weight to change thickness using the slider or input field.

  

• Click Line Style to choose between Solid, Dot, Dash, Long-dash, Dash-dot, or Long dash-dot.

  

• Click Line Start and Line End to add or change arrow styles.

  

Add an Icon

• Click Icons from the left sidebar.

• Type a keyword in the search bar, or filter by category and style (Color or Mono).

• Click an icon or press Spacebar to add it to your design canvas.

• You can also use the AI Icon Generator to instantly create custom icons that match your design.

Add an Image

• Click Images from the left sidebar.

  

• Use the search bar or browse categories to find stock photos.

  

• Click a photo thumbnail to add it to your design.

• To upload your own, go to Uploads in the left sidebar, then click Browse Files.

  

• Use the Crop Tool or Custom Crop Shapes to change a photo’s shape.

  

• You can also try the AI Image Generator to create custom images directly within the Editor.

Reposition or Resize Visual Elements

• Move: Click and drag, or use arrow keys.

• Resize: Drag the corner or side bar handles, or use keyboard shortcuts (CTRL/CMD + Arrows).

  

• Resize proportionally: Hold Shift while resizing.

• Rotate: Click the circular arrow handle or use Alt/Option + Arrow keys.

  

• Flip: Click Resize Object, then select Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical from the top toolbar.

  

Apply Styles to Multiple Elements

• Hold Shift and click to select multiple elements.

  

• Use the top toolbar to edit shared settings like color or size.

More Customization Options

• Layer elements to move them forward or backward.

• Lock elements in place while editing.

• Group elements to move or resize them together.

• Duplicate items for quicker editing.

• Adjust photo opacity or apply custom crop shapes for creative effects.

• Shapes and connecting lines are now under Icons → Shapes or Connecting Lines.

• Use the search bar to quickly find icons or shapes.

• Keep designs consistent by using Brand Kit colors.

• Combine icons, shapes, and lines for quick visual storytelling.
