Edit a Basic Table's Colors and Fonts

Make your table stand out by adjusting its style, colors, and text to match your design.
 

Add or Edit Text

  • Click into any cell to activate the toolbar at the top.

  • Type directly into the cell or paste data from another source using Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac).

💡 Tip: Triple-click inside a cell to select all text in that cell at once.

 

Table Styling Toolbar

When a cell is selected, the toolbar at the top will display these options:

  • Font face and size

  • Bold, Italic, Underline

  • Font color

  • Text alignment (Left, Center, Right, Justified)

  • Cell alignment (Top, Middle, Bottom)

  • Line spacing

  • Numbered or bulleted list

  • Hyperlink

  • Cell background color

  • Cell border color

 

Add or Edit Links

To hyperlink text in a cell:

  1. Select the text you want to link.

  2. Click the Link icon in the toolbar.

  3. Enter a URL or select a page in your design.

  4. Click Save changes to apply.

Linked text will automatically appear underlined. To learn more about text hyperlinks, click here.

 

Change Font, Style, or Alignment

  1. Select the text or cell you want to adjust.

  2. Use the top toolbar to:

    • Change font face, size, or color

    • Apply Bold, Italic, or Underline

    • Adjust text alignment or cell alignment

 

Add Bulleted or Numbered Lists

Organize information neatly inside table cells using lists:

  1. Click into a cell or highlight text you want to format.

  2. Click the Bulleted List or Numbered List icon in the toolbar.

  3. To adjust indentation or spacing between lines, use the Line Height option beside the list icons.

💡 Tip: You can use Shift + Enter to add a new line within the same list item without creating a new bullet or number.

 

Change Cell Background

  1. Select one or more cells.

  2. Click the Background Color icon (colored square).

  3. Choose a color from the picker, enter a HEX code, or use the eyedropper tool.

 

Change Cell Border Color

  1. Select the cell(s) you want to edit.

  2. Click the Border Color icon next to the background color tool.

  3. Pick a new color, enter a HEX code, or use the eyedropper.

💡 Tip: Experiment with different color combinations and alignments to make your data visually appealing and easy to read.
