Change a Group Type to Public or Private (Admins)

"Admins" are users with administrative permissions on an Enterprise account.

When a user creates a Group, they choose whether it’s Public or Private. As an Admin, you have the flexibility to change the Group type for any Group in your organization — even if you didn’t create it.

👉 If you’re inviting Members already registered under your organization’s Enterprise account, their names will appear as suggestions as you type — simply select them from the list in the Invite Members modal.

👉 For Guests outside your organization, enter their email address manually. They’ll need to create a Venngage account to view any designs shared with them in a Group.

Manage Group Access

You can easily manage how users access Groups by setting the Group Type to Public or Private.

Public Groups – Anyone in your organization can view and join.
Private Groups – Only invited Members or Guests can access shared designs.

How to Change a Group Type

  1. From your Home page, click your Organization Name in the left sidebar.

  2. On the Groups page, find the Group you want to update.

  3. Under the Group Type column, click the arrow beside “Private” or “Public.”

  4. Select the new Group type from the dropdown — your changes will save automatically.
