Tables help organize and display information clearly in your accessible design. Use Venngage’s table tools to add, customize, and manage rows, columns, and styles easily.

Add a Table

  1. Create or open the accessible design in the Venngage Editor.

  2. Click Charts in the left sidebar, then click Table.

Reposition the Table

  • Select the table by clicking its outer edge. A bounding box and move cursor (cross with arrows) will appear.

  • Drag the table to your preferred position or use the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Resize the Table

  • Hover over the edges or corners of the table until the resize cursor appears.

  • Click and drag to resize the table to your preferred dimensions.

Resize Columns

  • Hover over a column divider until the resize cursor appears (vertical bar with arrows).

  • Click and drag to adjust the column width.

  • Note: Rows will automatically adjust their height based on the contents of the cells.

Add or Delete Rows and Columns

  1. Right-click a cell to open the context menu.

  2. Add a row or column: Select Insert Row Above/Below or Insert Column Left/Right.

    • The new row or column matches the dimensions of the selected row/column.

  3. Delete a row or column: Select a cell in the row/column, right-click, and choose Delete Row or Delete Column.

Lock a Table to the Canvas

Locking a table keeps it in place and prevents resizing, while still allowing you to edit its content.

  • Select the table and click Lock in the top toolbar, or right-click → Lock.

  • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Alt + L (Windows) or Cmd + Option + L (Mac).

  • The table will show a red border and a small lock icon, indicating it cannot be moved or resized.

  • Unlock it the same way by clicking Unlock or using the same keyboard shortcuts.
