Venngage's Table Tools in the upgraded Editor let you mark row and column headers in basic tables, making your data accessible to screen readers and other assistive technologies.

Add a Table to Your Design

  1. Open the Charts menu from the left sidebar.

  2. Click Table to add a basic table to your canvas.

  3. The default table includes a header row at the top.

Indicate Row and Column Headers

  1. Select the entire table on your design canvas. (Clicking inside a single cell will not activate the header tool.)

  2. Click or press Spacebar on Headers in the top toolbar.

  3. In the Headers menu, toggle Header Row and/or Header Column on or off.

    • This applies styling to the header row or column.

    • It also adds meta-data to flag these as headers for screen readers and other accessibility tools.

The changes will appear immediately on your table in the design canvas.

Note: Currently, only single-row and single-column headers are supported. For tables requiring multiple header rows or columns, consider splitting your data into multiple simpler tables.
