The Color Tool allows you to customize colors for any element—icons, symbols, tables, smart widgets, text boxes, charts, and more. Use it to adjust shades, opacity, create custom swatches, or apply colors from your Brand Kit to make your designs pop.

Find the Color Tool

  • The Color Tool icon appears in the top toolbar whenever you select a color-customizable element.

  • For charts, double-click the chart or click Edit Chart in the toolbar to access the Color Tool along with chart-specific options.

  • Elements like shapes, icons, or widgets may display the color icon as a square with a border, while text boxes have text styling options nearby.

Overview of Color Tool Features

The Color Tool menu includes:

  • Color Picker - choose colors directly on the wheel.

  • Light/Dark Slider - adjust shades from lighter to darker.

  • Opacity Slider - make elements transparent or fully opaque.

  • Color Preview Tile - shows a real-time preview of the selected color.

  • HEX and RGBA fields - input exact color values or opacity.

  • Brand Colors and Swatch Colors - apply your saved brand palette or custom swatches.

Tip: Watch the preview tile as you adjust colors for instant feedback on the canvas.

Selecting and Customizing a Color

  1. Select the element (icon, symbol, table, chart, etc.) to open the Color Tool.

  2. Click anywhere in the Color Picker wheel or drag the selector for subtle hue changes.

  3. Adjust light/dark values or opacity using the sliders or the numeric RGBA fields.

  4. Use HEX codes or RGB values to precisely set a color. Press Enter or click outside the field to apply.

Pro Tip: Use a color palette generator to create coordinated colors and copy the HEX codes directly into the Color Tool.

Adjusting Opacity

  • Opacity controls how transparent an element is.

  • Use the Opacity slider or type a value (0–100) in the “A” field for precise control.

  • Lower values create a see-through effect, while 100 is fully opaque.

Sampling Colors with the Eye Dropper

  • The Eye Dropper lets you pick colors from anywhere on your device, including images or other elements on your canvas.

  • Select your element, open the Color Tool, click the Eye Dropper icon, then click any color you want.

  • The magnifying lens ensures precise selection, even from detailed images or vectors.

Using Brand and Swatch Colors

  • Brand Colors from your My Brand Kit are easily accessible in the Color Tool.

  • Apply brand colors to individual elements or to multiple elements at once.

  • The shuffle icon lets you randomly assign brand colors to design elements for variety.

Tip: Brand colors ensure consistency across all your designs and help maintain a professional look.
