Adding a Scatter Plot

  • Updated

A Scatter Plot helps visualize relationships between variables by displaying data points on a graph. Each point represents a value, plotted along the X and Y axes, allowing you to identify patterns, trends, or correlations in the data. Unlike line or bar charts, scatter plots do not connect points, making them ideal for analyzing distributions and relationships.

  1. Navigate to the Charts section.
  2. Scroll down to find "Scatter".
  3. From there, select the Scatter Plot and click on it to add it to your canvas.

You can use the bounding box around the chart to resize it, making it larger or adjusting the proportions as needed.

Editing the Scatter Plot Chart

To open the edit menu, double-click on the chart.

Data Tab

  • Import Data: Add data by uploading a CSV or XLSX file.
  • Table: Alternatively, you can manually enter the information directly into the chart’s table.

  • Chart Style: Modify the chart’s appearance by adjusting the chart color and point size. You can also enable or disable patterns for added texture.
  • Grid Lines: You can customize the color of the grid lines.
  • Axes: Customize the X and Y-axis titles by editing the title text and adjusting the font, size, and style. You can also modify the minimum and maximum values for both axes. Additionally, toggle the axis lines on or off and adjust their color and width.
