Editing or Importing Map Data

Use Map Charts to visualize information across geographical areas, making it easy to spot patterns and trends in your data. Whether it’s a choropleth map or a bubble map, Venngage lets you create colorful, engaging maps for reports, presentations, or infographics.


Editing Map Data

  1. Open the Map Chart for Editing
    Double-click the map or select it and click Edit Map in the top toolbar to open the map values panel. 

  2. Edit Your Data

    • Under the Data tab, click on the cell you want to change and type in your new value.

    • You can also copy and paste values from an external spreadsheet like Excel or Google Sheets.

  3. Automatic Updates

    • Data changes are saved automatically when you select another cell or press Enter/Return.

    • On choropleth maps, regions change color based on the values.

    • On bubble maps, circles overlaying regions change size depending on the value.

 

Importing Map Data

  1. Open the Edit Map panel by double-clicking the map or clicking Edit Map in the top toolbar.

  2. In the Data tab, click Browse Files above the spreadsheet.

  3. Upload a file in .csv or .xlsx format. Your data will automatically populate the spreadsheet.

  4. Use the Edit Map panel to adjust how your data is displayed on the map.
