Gradients can add depth and visual interest to your design. In Venngage, you can add a gradient background either using pre-generated gradients or a gradient stock photo.

Add a Pre-Generated Gradient Background

1. Click Background Color in the left corner of the upper toolbar.

   

2. Click the Gradient tab.

   

3. Choose any gradient to update the background of your design. There are dozens of preset options to explore.

Use a Stock Gradient Image

1. Click Images on the left menu.

   

2. Type “gradient” into the search bar. Add more specific terms, like “purple gradient” or “rainbow gradient”, to narrow results.

   

3. Click your preferred gradient image and resize it to fit your design canvas using the corner and edge handles.

4. Click Layers in the top toolbar and select Move to Back button to set the image as your background layer.

   

5. Adjust the image’s opacity using the Opacity menu in the top toolbar to make it lighter or more vibrant.

   

Replace an Existing Background Image with a Gradient

1. Click on your canvas to show the top toolbar options.

   

2. Click Replace.

   

3. In the Replace modal, go to the Image Library tab.

   

4. Search for “gradient” or add specific descriptors, like “purple gradient” or “rainbow gradient”.

   

5. Click the photo to replace the existing background.

6. Click the Collapse button of the Replace modal to close it.
