There are two ways to add a gradient background to your design: with Venngage's pre-generated gradients or with a gradient stock photo

Add a pre-generated gradient background

Click "Background" in the left sidebar.

Scroll down to the "Gradients" heading and click on any gradient to change the background of your design. There are dozens of preset gradients to choose from!

In the Venngage Editor, a design canvas with the heading 'Top Social Media Platforms for Marketing' appears. The user clicks on 'Backgrounds' in the left sidebar and opens the background menu. They scroll down the tiles of different background colors under the heading 'Gradient' and click the gradient tiles, changing the background of the design.

Click Photos on the left menu.

Type “gradient” into the Photo Search bar. You can narrow your search by including more specific descriptors, like "purple gradient" or "rainbow gradient".

In the Venngage Editor, a design canvas with the heading 'Top Social Media Platforms for Marketing' appears. The user clicks on 'Photos' in the left sidebar and opens the photos menu. They type 'gradient' into the search bar to return photos of gradients, which appear in preview underneath the search bar. The user clicks on the thumbnial of a rainbow-colored gradient, and the photo appears on the design canvas.

Click or drag your gradient image onto the page. Resize the image so that it fits your design canvas, by dragging the image handles at the corners and edges.

In the Venngage Editor, a design canvas with the heading 'Top Social Media Platforms for Marketing' appears. There is a photo of a rainbow-colored gradient overlaying the design canvas. The user selects the photo and expands the gradient photo, covering the entirety of the design canvas. The user then clicks the 'Move to Back' button in the top toolbar, which moves the gradient photo to the background of the design.

Use the Move to Back button in the top toolbar to set the photo as the background layer of the design.

From here you can also set the opacity of the image to make it appear lighter or more vibrant. Use the Opacity menu in the top toolbar (a drop-down menu with the image of an eye in it).
