Customize labels in Chart Settings to make your data clearer to readers.

Add data labels

Double-click the chart or click the chart once, then select Edit Chart.

A canvas in the Venngage Editor is open to a design with a light blue background and the heading 'What is your biggest struggle when it comes to producing engaging visual content?' Underneath the heading is text and a vertically stacked bar chart, showing percentages next to four bars. The user clicks on the chart to select it, and then clicks on the 'Edit Chart' button that appears in the top toolbar. The Chart Menu opens in an overlaying panel in the right side of the screen. The user closes the Chart Menu (settings) panel by clicking 'Cancel' in the top right corner, then clicks on the area behind the design canvas to de-select the chart. The user then double-clicks on the chart, and the Chart Menu opens, again in an overlaying panel in the right side of the screen.

Once the chart menu is open, click Settings.

Click the toggle Show Labels. Some charts show labels and others hide them by default.

Underneath the heading is text and a vertically stacked bar chart, showing percentages next to four bars. The Edit Chart panel is open on the right side. There are two tabs in the panel: Data and Settings. The user clicks on the Settings tab to switch to that tab; multiple headings are visible in the panel. The user moves their cursor to the 'Show Labels' heading and clicks the toggle next to it. On the design canvas, the percentages next to the chart bars disappear when the toggle beside Show Lables is in the off position, and reappear when the user clicks the toggle back into the on position. The user then clicks the Show Lables heading to expand the section, where multiple fields appear for customizing how the labels appear in the chart on the canvas. The user clicks the drop-down for font and changes the font, changing the text of the labels on the design canvas. The user then clicks on the Color Tool droplet icon to open the Color Tool widget and changes the color of the labels from black to light blue, to green back to black.

Edit data labels

Click to expand the "Show Labels" section and use the tools to edit the labels appearance.

Edit the color, font style, font size, or prefix and suffix data labels.

Click the green Save button on the top right corner of the chart menu.

The Edit Chart panel is open on the right side, with two tabs visible: Data and Settings. The panel is open to the Settings tab. A user navigates with their cursor to the top of the panel, above the tabs, where a Cancel button and a Save button appear. The user clicks Save and closes the Edit Chart panel.
