Make your charts easier to read and understand by customizing data labels in Chart Settings.

Add Data Labels

  1. Open your chart:

    • Double-click the chart on your canvas, or

    • Click the chart once and select Edit Chart from the toolbar, or

    • Click the Edit Chart icon at the top of the chart.

  2. In the Chart Menu, click the Setup tab.

  3. Toggle Show Data Labels to display labels on your chart.

đź’ˇ Some chart types display labels by default, while others require you to turn them on manually.

Edit Data Labels

  1. Click to expand the Show Data Labels section.

  2. Use the available tools to customize how your labels appear:

    • Font color

    • Font style (Bold, Italic, Underline)

    • Font size

All changes are saved automatically — no extra steps needed!

đź’ˇ Quick Tip

Keep your chart clear and professional:

  • Use contrasting colors for labels and backgrounds to improve readability.

  • Keep font sizes consistent across your design.

  • Add prefixes or suffixes (like “$” or “%”) only where they add clarity — avoid repetition.

  • If your chart looks cluttered, toggle off data labels and use a legend instead.
