What is a flowchart?
A flowchart usually moves in one general direction and takes on a vertical or horizontal shape. There is one “starting” item and items can be connected to multiple parent items. You can either add a new item (line + item) or connect two existing items (drag line from item-to-item). There is no single parent item, but there is a starting item.
Why use a flowchart?
Flowcharts are ideal for visually describing processes, especially ones with many different tasks or involving many different people.
