Changing the Color of Text Boxes

Venngage makes it easy to customize your text boxes for better contrast, readability, and overall design appeal.

By default, text boxes are transparent (no visible background). You can customize the background in two ways:

  • Option 1: Change the background color using an HTML block (Classic Editor only)

  • Option 2: Layer a shape or icon behind your text box

Option 1: Change the Background Color (Classic Editor)

  1. Add an HTML block from the Interactive section in the left sidebar.

  2. Double-click the block or select Edit HTML in the top toolbar.

  3. Go to the Settings tab in the Edit HTML panel.

  4. Under Background Color, choose your preferred color and adjust the opacity.

  5. Customize your text using the controls under Font Options and Line Options.

💡 Tip: Lower the opacity to create a softer background that keeps your text readable.

Option 2: Layer a Shape or Icon Behind the Text

  1. Add your text box to the design canvas.

  2. From Icons in the left sidebar, click on Basic Shapes, then select any.

  3. Resize and position it behind your text.

  4. Use the Layering tools to move the shape backward, behind the text box.

  5. Adjust the color, opacity, or fill using the Color Tool.

💡 Tip: Rounded shapes and soft colors work great for highlighting key text or quotes!
