Generate a random palette

Access the Color Palette Generator from the Venngage Tools page.

Click the "Random Palette" button at the top of the color tiles. Scroll down and click "Load more palettes" to see the full range.

A user clicks 'Random palette' under the Accessible Color Palette Generator heading. Three color palettes - sets of five color tiles - change to generate individual palettes. The user scrolls down the page and clicks 'Load more palettes' to see an additional four sets of palettes, bringing the total number of palettes displayed to 10.

Each row represents a palette with a distinct focus—"vibrant", "light to dark", "pastel", etc.

Each color tile appears with a Contrast Ratio check at the bottom, giving its contrast score with either black or white text. At the top right of the palette is a 'Download' button.

Under each color tile is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines score relating to color contrast for either black or white text.

Generate a color palette from a custom color

Type your color into the HEX Code text field beside the Random palette button.

A close-up of the section of the color palette generator tool, under the page heading. Beside the blue button, 'Random palette', a text field displays a blue dot and the HEX code '#0073E6'. The use clicks into the text field and types a new HEX code, '#E6308A', and the dot next to it turns magenta. The user clicks the 'Generate' button to the right of the text field.

Click "Generate" to generate custom color palettes based on the color you entered; click "Load more" to see all.

On the Color Palette generate page, a user types the HEX code '#E6308A' into the text field that appears between the blue button to generate a 'Random palette' and a white button to generate a custom palette. A small dot in the text field previews the color as the user types; when the user is finished typing the HEX code, the dot appears magenta, which is the color of the HEX code. The user clicks the 'Generate' button to the right of the text field and generates palettes underneath the text field and buttons. The user scrolls through the palette, which have headings describing their themes like 'Vibrant palette', 'Contrasting palette', 'Pastel palette'. When the user reaches the end of the page, they click the 'Load more' button at the bottom, to reveal further palettes based on the HEX code they entered.

Download your color palette

Click the "Download" button or screenshot the palette to save the HEX codes for use in your design or My Brand Kit.

A user clicks the 'Download' button over a color palette entitled 'Vibrant Palette' created in Venngage's Accessible Color Palette Generator. A file named 'Vibrant Palette' is downloaded. The user opens the file from the download bar at the bottom of the browser window and a file opens with a list of HEX codes corresponding to the colors in the palette.
