In addition to standard column and pie charts, you can add column and grouped column charts with icons and pie and progress charts with icons in a preset arrangement that you can easily customize.

There are two ways to change the icons in a chart with icons.

Using the Replace Menu

ℹ️ You can change the icons in simple stat charts, column charts and grouped column charts with icons using the Replace Menu.

Click on the icon in the chart you want to change.

The Replace menu will appear in the top toolbar.

Click Replace to open the menu, and select one of the icons available or search to bring up a specific icon to replace the one in the chart.

When you click on the icon, it will appear in the chart, replacing the original icon.

On a canvas in the Venngage Editor, a simple statistic progress chart appears, with an icon of a laptop above a statistic and text that reads '75% of people wanted remote work options'. The bar underneath the text shows a progress bar filled three-quarters with dark pink, and the rest with light pink. A user clicks on the laptop icon and the Replace menu opens in the left sidebar, displaying a thumbnail gallery of simple icons the user can replace the laptop icon with. The user clicks on a red heart icon, and this icon replaces the laptop in the stat chart.

Using the Edit Chart panel

ℹ️ You can change the icons in column charts and grouped column charts with icons using the Replace Menu.

Click on the chart and click "Edit Chart" in the top toolbar, or double-click the chart to automatically open the Edit Chart panel.

Click the "Data" tab.

In the spreadsheet, click on the small thumbnail version of the icon that appears in the chart.

Using the Replace menu, select one of the icons available or use the search bar to find a specific icon to use. Click on the icon you want to replace the original with.

On a canvas in the Venngage Editor, a grouped column chart with icons appears. The grouped column chart has three groups of columns, labelled Business & Industry, Healthcare, and Sports & Leisure. The columns are in a gradient of medium to light blue; underneath each column group is a simple icon of white outlines over a black circular background. A user double-clicks on the chart and the Edit Chart panel opens in the right side of the Editor. The Edit Chart panel has three tabs, and it is open to the 'Data' tab, which shows a spreadsheet with the data displayed in the chart. Next to each row is a smaller representation of each of the three icons that appear under the columns groups in the chart on the canvas. The user clicks on the top icon in the Edit Chart panel, a simple line icon of a briefcase, and the Replace Menu opens from the left sidebar, displaying a thumbnail gallery of simple icons the user can replace the briefcase icon with. The user types a search term into the search bar at the top of the Replace Menu panel: 'building'. The search results return simple outline icons in monochrome as well as colorful icons. The user clicks on several of these icons, one at a time, changing the icon in the chart as well as next to the spreadsheet in the Edit Chart panel.

Change the size of an icon

ℹ️ You can change the size of icons in column charts and grouped column charts with icons from the Edit Chart panel.

Click on the chart and click "Edit Chart" in the top toolbar, or double-click the chart to automatically open the Edit Chart panel.

Click on the "Labels" tab.

Under the "Group icon labels" heading, use the slider next to Icon Size to make the icons larger or smaller relative to the rest of the chart; or, enter a percentage into the field next to the slider.

You can also change the color of monochrome icons in your chart and their background shapes from the "Group icon labels" section.

A white canvas in the Venngage Editor shows a grouped column chart, with three groups of columns, each in a gradient from medium to light blue. Under each of the column groups is an icon over a black circle. A user has opened the Edit Chart panel, which appears on the right side of the canvas. The panel has three tabs, and the 'Labels' tab is selected, showing multiple headings with arrows beside each one to expand or collapse the tools under the heading. The user clicks on the 'Group icon labels' heading and expands it, then clicks and drags the slider next to the 'Icon size' label. On the canvas, the size of the icons under each of the column groups gets smaller and larger as the user moves the slider. In a field next to the icons, a percentage reflects the size of the icons as the user moves the slider.

NOTE: For simple stats charts (donut, half-donut and classic progress) with icons, icon sizes can be changed by resizing the whole chart
