Add shapes, lines and custom QR codes to your video canvas, then customize their appearance in the Venngage Video Editor (Beta).

Here's a quick video overview to teach you how:

Select "Elements" in the left sidebar to add shapes or a QR code

Click on one of the customizable shapes under the "Shapes" heading to add it to the video canvas.

Select "QR code" to add it to your video.

Edit an element by selecting it on the video canvas

Click on the element to select it. The Editing panel will open automatically.

Under the Edit tab, customize the element Placement, Box Options, Corners, Border, and toggle on the Lock Ratio. If you add a border, you can change the Border Color.

The 'Edit' tab is selected, and several headings appear below: Placement, which controls the alignment of the element on the video canvas; Box Options, which allows the user to add a solid color or gradient to certain elements; Lock Ratio, which appears with a toggle that allows users to lock the ratio of an element so that its size ration stays the same; and two sliders for Corners (which allows the user to round or straighten the corners of a shape) and border, which increases or decrease the width of the element border.

Add an effect to the element

Select the element to bring up the Editing panel.

Click the "Effects" tab in the panel. There are two effects for most elements, Transparency and Shadow.  Use the slider to control the strength of the effect.

The 'Effects' tab is selected, and displays two available tools for the user: Transparency and Shadow. Both headings have a slider underneath them that controls this effect on the element as it appears on the design canvas in the Editor.

Animate an element

To animate an element:

  1. Click the element.

  2. Adjust the speed by clicking and dragging the dot left or right.

  3. Select an animation type to apply it.

  4. Adjust the speed with the slider.

  5. You also have an option to toggle "Enter", to enable the effect of the element "entering" the design from out of frame.

NOTE: Apply the "Enter" effect by enabling the toggle; this animates elements to enter and exit the video canvas.

The 'Animate' tab is selected, and displays tools available to the user: Speed, Enter and Type. 'Speed' displays a slider which the user can move in order to descrease or increase the speed of the element's animation. 'Enter' is controlled by an on-off toggle. 'Type' includes a selection of additional animation effects the user can apply to the element's animation, including 'Fade', 'Pop', 'Slide', 'Rise' and 'Fall'.
