🔧 Improvements

Build better accessible designs in our upgraded Editor (Beta) 🦾

↔️ Tables size stays proportional when adding or deleting columns or resizing manually

Select a table in your accessible design to resize it, and the columns in the table will all resize proportionally.

A user selects the bounding box on a table that appears on part of a Venngage design canvas. When the user drags the outside of the outermost column to resize the table, all of the 5 columns in the table resize equally.

Adding a column or row to a table won't affect the size of the other columns or rows; the size will reflect the dimensions of the nearest row or column. Resize the column or row to your preferred dimensions.

A user adds a column to a table that appears on part of a Venngage design canvas. When the user adds the column to the left-most position on the table, it appears as the same width as the column to its immediate right. The table now appears with six columns. The user selects the bar between the outermost column and the one to its right, and drags it, making the outermost column more narrow.

🩻 Adjust image opacity with slider in top toolbar

Select an image on your accessible design canvas and use the slider in the top toolbar to adjust its opacity settings.

A design canvas is open in the upgraded Venngage Editor (Beta). On the canvas, the user selects the icon of a green sphere with a black outline, and then clicks the Opacity tool in the top toolbar. The user adjusts the Opacity slider and the icon becomes more transparent. The user then changes the icon's position, so that it overlays another icon. The icon underneath it, the bust of a young girl with her hair in pigtails, is visible through the green sphere icon.

📊 Add prefix or suffix to data in column and bar charts

Add a prefix (e.g., "#", "$", etc.) or a suffix (e.g., "%", "M", "CAD") to data in a bar or column chart and it will display in your accessible chart, making it easier for readers to parse the data.

A design canvas is open in the upgraded Venngage Editor (Beta). On the canvas, the user selects a bar chart titled "Media Preferences by Age Group". The "Edit Chart" panel appears on the righthand side of the Editor. Two tabs are visible in the panel: Data and Setup. On the Data tab, the heading "Number Format" appears with two text fields: Prefix and Suffix. The user types "M" into the Suffix field and the suffix appears on the bar chart, over each bar, at the end of the number there.

📤 Create and share an accessible design with multiple pages

Add or duplicate multiple pages in your accessible design and use the Page Manager tool to rearrange, delete and navigate between pages.

A design canvas is open in the upgraded Venngage Editor (Beta). On the canvas there are icons and a bar chart entitled "Media Preferences by Age Group." The user clicks the "Add Page" (plus sign) icon in the Page Manager toolbar, which appears to the right of the design canvas in the Editor. A blank page appears in the design. The user clicks the "Previous Page" (up arrow) icon to navigate back to the first page with the icons and the bar chart, and then clicks the "Duplicate Page" (two pages overlaid) icon in the Page Manager toolbar. A duplicate page is generated. The design now has three pages. The user clicks the "Show all pages" (left arrow icon) to the left of the Page Manager toolbar; the widget expands, replacing the Page Manager toolbar with a narrow panel overlay on the righthand side of the screen. Thumbnails of each of the three pages in the design are visible.

Share your accessible design with multiple pages; use a link to share a browser-based version of any multi-page accessible design.

A design canvas is open in the upgraded Venngage Editor (Beta). The Page Manager toolbar indicates that the design has three pages. The user clicks "Share" in the top toolbar and then "Copy Link" in the Share modal. A notification message at the bottom of the screen appears when the link is copied. The user opens a new tab with the shared design, and navigates through the three pages from the browser.

🏷️ Accessibility Checker Updates

Access the Checker from the top toolbar

Check the Accessibility of different elements in your accessible design more easily: select or click "Accessibility" in the top toolbar to open the Accessibility Checker.

Status tags indicate design elements that 'pass', 'fail' or 'require manual check'

Find issues with accessibility in the Accessibility Checker with status tags that indicate whether a section passes accessibility criteria requirements, fails (and needs to be modified), or requires a manual check to clear.
